Vlc not working windows 108/27/2023 ![]() My theory is that VLC is defaulting to "D" but the systems may have logically partitioned drives that push the DVD drive assignment down a letter so "D" becomes "E". ![]() There was no error and the movie played without error. I thought it might be codec but reading elsewhere they suggested to up the detail of the log message verbosity to get more details and post the results.Once this was done I left VLC open and then right clicked the DVD in explorer and selected open with VLC. I then got the same error after an upgraded VLC. But I did get the error reading the disc. I use a right click in explorer and select a program of my choosing. I'm not always putting movies in there nor do I want installs taking off if I'm just copying files from a disc. Let me first say though I have auto play turned off. I had a similar issue but I had already upgraded to windows 10.
